Deals to Meals

http://dealstomeals.blogspot.com/

Okay I am not huge at promoting other Blogs but this one is one of 2 that I follow religiously. I found it through Food Storage Made Easy http://foodstoragemadeeasy.net/.

Both sites make food storage possible and pretty easy and affordable. There is a small fee for Deals to Meals but compared to other sites that do the ad searching for you it is a lot cheaper and easier to read. Unlike other sites it also gives you shelf life info on most of the items as well as GREAT recipes and meal planning so you use what you buy. They offer a two week free trial which is way worth it even if you chose not to continue (but I know you will.)

There is nothing better the a trip north to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival! I decided to be brave and take all 3 kids without the help of Randall, I think I might have been smoking something. Lucky for me it was a really good day. The weather was perfect, the tulips were beautiful and the kids did not try to kill each other in fact they really enjoyed being together. I let the kids use one of my cameras ans some of the best pictures form the trip were the ones they took.

12 REALLY did it have to be this hard?

Most of you have seen on my Facebook that I am having a hard time with Bryn being 12. What is really funny is that he is 13 in 2 months so he has saved all his bad 12ness for the last few months of 12. How does a boy normally nice, obedient, cooperative, hard working and generally cheerful become something else over night? How does a straight As honor student get a D in PE (did I mention he is sort of a nerdy jock) and 2 Fs in classes he loves?

I am reminded that I was 12, and it was not fun for my parents (mostly my mom) to deal with me. Apparently it was bad enough that I upset myself so much I have chosen not to remember most of it. I can remember easy things like friends names: Tara LaRue, Tara Darst, Tara Dale, Tara Uptane. Yes I know Dugh of course I can remember friends when we all had the same name. I can tell you my math teacher Mr Abrams looked at my chest all through class. I can tell you Mrs Ekis could not sit still and swayed back and forth all through class. Mr Feldevard our band teacher had green armpit stains and turned bright red when he yelled at the "Dummers". And, The kid named Steven King read Steven king books. But that is it. I hear tell I was an emotional reck: crying in class, asking for my mom, yelling a lot and getting great grades and then turning them all into Ds and Fs (this part sounds a little familiar) I was even asked to talk to a therapist to make sure something "BAD" had not happened to me. Nope I was just 12.

I guess that means there is hope for Bryn I just hope he pulls it together before winter break so he does not lose the honors classes he tells me he loves.

Spiders! Really?

I love Spiders!

If I could sit and take pictures of spiders all day I would. They are just so amazingly unique. And their webs are so beautiful in the damp climate here, they almost always have moisture droplets on them.

My favorite is the Orb Waver, it has this huge bulbous smooth round body that some how is held up by 8 supper thin legs, plus they have the best webs hands down. Add to it that spiders eat the bugs that I am allergic to, whats not to love. Don't get me wrong I am sure that if there was a HUGE hairy tarantula hissing at me I might not like it so much but who knows maybe I will still try and get the picture, because it would look really cool.

Hi my name is Tara Bills and I am an addict!

earlier this month my camera was stolen. (Don't worry I had already downloaded most of the pictures off the memory card.) Little did I know I would feel camera withdrawal. I tried using a disposable camera over Memorial Day weekend so I could document our adventures... It was Horrible! I do not have the money to go and buy a new camera any where near as good as my last, or at least that is what I thought. Today at Fred Meyer's i just decided to look at what was there. I found a little pocket camera by Samsung available in black, silver or pink. It was on sale and I had to look at the price several times. I spent 30 minutes checking it out pushing every button. The final decider was the associate telling me I could bring it back any time in the next 30 days if I decided it would not work. I LOVE MY NEW CAMERA!!!!! It is not as easy to adjust settings on as my last camera but the pictures are great. Ryana and I have been trying it out today and we both were able to take great pictures.
